So let's talk frankly about Aker holsters. The holsters are great! The photos and descriptions...not so much. But what would you rather have? A great holster or a great photo? We've done our best to make sure the product description is accurate. But please forgive us (and Aker) if the photographs aren't quite the exact model being described...
The Flatsider Model 268 is essentially the basic Flatsider XR12 with a thumb break but with a paddle mount. All the performance features of the Flatsider XR12 but now with a paddle back for easy removal from the waistband area. The Contour™ Paddle incorporates dual retention barbs to help hold the holster in position. Aker's approach to this popular holster genre is extra comfortable because it’s flat on one side! Using Aker's special method, this holster is molded in fine leather to fit one’s handgun with 100% of the holster pocket formed away from the body. Inside the holster is a full-length molded sight channel. The special dual-plane muzzle is suited to both standard and shortened barrels.
Most models are available in black leather finish with a few in tan (as shown in the photo.) Sorry, but a photo of the black leather model is not available. A few sizes are available in left hand.
