Bulldog calls the BD518 a "hard" pistol case. We call it a rigid soft case. Either way, it maintains the firm shape of the thick foam padding encased within a durable nylon exterior cover. Sized to hold pistol and a mag or two, the zipper opening lid lies nearly flat to make a nice pistol rug and the exterior pocket provides a convenient place for papers, permits or even extra mags. The firm shape allows the case to lay flat, be stacked, or even fit on a bookshelf.
