Bulldog calls the BD522 a "hard" pistol case. We call it a rigid soft case. Either way, it maintains the firm shape of the thick foam padding encased within a durable nylon exterior cover. The double openings allow for 2 pistols to be carried on either side. The 3/4" zipper openings lay the lids flat and with the fur lining, you've got yourself two pistol rugs. In addition, exterior pockets on both sides provide a convenient place for papers, permits or even extra mags. The case measures almost a foot across at 11" wide 9" tall and 5" deep. This slim profile and firm shape allow the case to lay flat or stand upright without tipping. And for under $40, it's one of the most affordable pistol cases you'll find.
